Keep Go Local at the SFC Farmers Markets
Dear Go Local supporter,
We imagine, like the Go Local Team, you are a supporter of the Farmers markets sponsored by SFC (Sustainable Food Center).
We love their mission and their day to day accomplishments. Many of you may know that Go Local has been at SFC markets for 4 years, bridging the gap between the local food and local business communities.
Right now, we now have an issue that you can help resolve. We are the last community member allowed to have a space at SFC markets. The Board of Directors have determined it is in the interest of the market to end the Community Partner program and replace it with a program that permits big budget companies attend on a limited basis and for considerable sums of money which makes it unsustainable for Go Local to participate.
We believe our our continued attendance is valuable to the vendors at the market and to shoppers who have seen us there for four continuous years.
We are asking you to voice your support of keeping Go Local at SFC markets as a community partner.
Go Local’s mission is to encourage local spending, exemplified in the local food movement and the great diversity of business that the public supports.
We ask the Board of Directors to recognize the value of our efforts in supporting the farmers markets and the local independent business community by retaining Go Local as a community partner.
Please lend your signature to this petition. We plan to deliver this petition to the Board of Directors of SFC on or before June 30th.
Locally Yours,
The Go Local Team
