Monday November 26th, the City of Chicago will hold a hearing concerning the application for a live venue music license by The Wild Hare Bar and Restaurant for their new location. For over 30 years the Wild Hare has been known as The Reggae Capitol of the USA with live music every day. It is the ONLY live reggae music venue in Chicago, supporting local musicians and entertaining reggae fans from Chicago and visitors from all over the US and the world. The Wild Hare is more than a bar, it is a cultural community, a mixing pot of all races and ages.
Why is this important?
After operating for over 30 years in Wrigleyville, last year the Wild Hare Reggae Club closed. They have reopened in a new location. The City of Chicago is fighting their application for a live music venue license. I want to let the City of Chicago know Chicago and the world wants live reggae back home in the Wild Hare now!
