River North Correctional Center in Independence, Virginia is enacting a policy change to incoming mail that will photocopy all letters and documents- giving inmates only a black and white copy limited to 3 pages and shredding originals. They will also no longer be able to receive color photo prints of family members and loved ones as these will also be limited to B&W copies. The mail system is NOT to blame for drugs getting into the prison and this policy change will only hurt the familial relations of inmates to whom communication is so integral! Stop this policy change!
