Keep Rush On the Air
I won’t start this counter-petition with an apology for Rush’s name-calling or by pretending to sympathize with the feminists and leftists calling for his head. Conservatives must stop apologizing to liberals -- an apology presumes a common moral ground between the two sides that doesn’t exist.
Rush didn’t express hatred. He was outraged that a top-tier law student had the temerity to demand the teachers, plumbers, and truck drivers of America subsidize her promiscuity. That’s the only normal reaction to Sandra Fluke.
Calling a girl who uses so much birth control she goes broke a slut is hardly a shocking statement. Girls call each other sluts all the time for much more petty reasons. Some feminists want to “take back the word.” Really, if the word is so “inexcusable,” then the Left would stop using it altogether. But they change the rules as they please to win political battles.
Besides, so what if Rush called Fluke a slut? It’s about time the Left feels some painful public shaming after savaging countless men and women who so much squeaked in protest against their agenda.
The right to disagree is far more important than the right to agree. Notice too the awkward, robotic repetition of certain buzzwords in the controversy: hatred, women’s reproductive rights, available for women, sexist. These words aren’t used to clarify the would-be censors’ positions. They’re meant to shut down all conversation by slandering the opposition.
I have just one question for the censors: How does banning someone’s perspective make a community more inclusive?

Why is this important?
Don't let the Left bully anyone into silence. Keep Rush Limbaugh's show on the air. How does banning someone’s perspective make a community more inclusive?
