We the undersigned request that the Archdiocese of New Orleans allow residents of the New Orleans area access to its oldest cemetery free of charge.
While we support limiting tourist access to the site to those accompanied by a licensed tour guide we request that special allowances be made for New Orleans area residents.
This petition also applauds the Archdiocese's efforts to address the problem of vandalism and tomb desecration.
Why is this important?
On March 1 2015, St Louis Cemetery #1 will only be open to visitors who are accompanied by a licensed tour guide.
