Keep West Ashley Greenway Green

Please halt the West Ashley Greenway paving project immediately. We request a public forum to discuss alternatives. Cyclists and wheelchairs can work with 5 or 6 feet of pavement. Ten feet of asphalt ruins the Greenway for all pedestrians. We know the cycling community has suffered losses and needs an alternative; we want to come together as a community to find a solution that preserves green spaces and safe thoroughfares for everyone.

Why is this important?

Rather than 10' of asphalt, we stand united in a request to halt the current paving and revisit the decision. Cyclists and wheelchairs can have a safe passageway on the Greenway with 5" or 6" feet of surface. Ten feet of asphalt ruins the Greenway for all pedestrians.
