Keep Yoga Classes in The Silverlake Meadow

Ask Los Angeles City Council to offer a permit to the Silverlake Meadow Yoga Collective to allow us to continue offering public yoga classes in our public park

Why is this important?

Our goal is to continue providing quality public yoga classes at the Silverlake Meadow with support of the city of Los Angeles by having the option to obtain a permit to instruct classes in the park. At the present time, the city's policy is NOT to offer permits for the meadow, which is confounding.

We offer yoga classes at the meadow to promote health, wellness, fitness and happiness to our community at an affordable price. We believe we are offering a positive service that honors the uniqueness of the residents and neighborhood of Silverlake with little or no-impact to the park itself.

We are also tired of being harassed and threatened on a continuous basis by the LAPD officers who have been called to our meadow classes by one irate and annoyed Silverlake resident. This resident has shouted and screamed directly to Stefani Manger, the founder of the Collective on two different accounts to make it clear we were not welcomed by her or the law.

Please allow us to teach peaceful yoga classes lawfully in our beloved meadow.

Thank you and namaste,

Stefani Manger, the teachers and students of the Silverlake Meadow Yoga Collective
