Keeping Nevada Patients Safe

Keep patient's safe and improve their outcomes by implementing state mandated safe nurse to patient ratios.

Why is this important?

I am a RN who is working in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I am very concerned with patient to nursing care ratios. Management can assign as many patients to one nurse as they deem appropriate. When management increases the number of patients assigned to a nurse, this also increase the risk of errors by the nurse to the patient and thus decreases patient's safety.
I have worked at 4 different hospitals here in Las Vegas, and found that each of these hospitals have allowed for unsafe patient to nurse ratios where in which nursing staff have been so overwhelmed that errors have occured and thus patient safety jeopardized. If your loved one was hospitalized wouldn't you want the best care for them. Please consider having state mandated patient to nurse ration to keep our patient safe from errors and our nurses safe as well.
