Kellyanne Conway must resign from the White House
During a Fox News television appearance, Kellyanne Conway unabashedly used her position as White House spokesperson to promote sales for Ivanka Trump's product line. This is in direct violation of the unambiguous Federal Ethics Law that states that an employee of the Executive Branch "shall not use his [her] public office for his [her] own private gain, for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity.” Her brazen endorsement has nothing to do with governance, and undermines Conway's already compromised credibility as "counselor".
Why is this important?
This petition is about ethical violations. There are pending lawsuits against the President for ethical violations, but we need to be sure that everyone on his team acts within the ethical standards put in place to prevent corruption. If Conway is allowed a free pass on this clear violation, it leaves the door open for many more such ethical violations to come.
