Kentucky Democrats should denounce fellow Democrat Kim Davis
We request that the Kentucky Democratic Party and elected Democrats from Kentucky denounce the recent actions by County Clerk Kim Davis. Furthermore, we ask the party to clarify that they will not support Davis in any future elections based on her refusal to issue marriage licenses as required under the law.
Why is this important?
Refusing to do her job as County Clerk - and taking such a strong anti-LGBT position are not what the Democratic Party is about. It is time for the party and party leaders to do the right thing and distance themselves publicly from this intolerable behavior from a fellow Democrat.
