KLRU-TV AUSTIN, TX: Air Citizen Koch
PBS is called Public Broadcasting because it was intended to provide commercial-free information to the American public. Presumably, this means all points of view. One of the best and most necessary exposes of recent times is the program on the Koch Brothers who have funded much of the far-right political activity currently affecting the USA at all levels. I think that Americans everywhere deserve to see "Citizen Koch" and find out who has been pulling the strings that brought us: low wages, right to work, anti-unionism, free trade, NAFTA, CAFTA, deregulation, etc.
Why is this important?
There are many Libertarians in Texas. They have no idea that their beloved party has been co-opted by the Koch Brothers and its agenda and policies will have the complete opposite effects that they expect. They need to learn who the Kochs really are and what they believe. The Kochs fund the Libertarian Party because it gives them the means to rig the political process. That is why the Kochs want to buy media: not to be helpful but to control what we see and hear. That is why this program needs to be aired--so that people can make informed political decisions.
