LA County Board of Supervisors: Increase Public Safety

In the two years since the implementation of the Public Safety Realignment Act (AB 109) the LA County Board of Supervisors (BOS) has failed to enact justice policies that are rooted in evidence-based practices and that provide cost-effective ways of improving public safety. We are therefore placing the BOS “on probation” until they have enacted policies that include rehabilitation funding, full budget transparency, and alternatives to incarceration including pre-trial release.
