Lee Zeldin: Save the ACA, Medicare, Medicaid, and LI hospitals
Rep Zeldin, thank you for your service. You have said that your priorities are affordability, access, quality of care, and options. Did you mean that these are your priorities only for the young and wealthy? Trumpcare will punish older Americans, women, people with disabilities, people with pre-existing conditions, and children. The bill will gut Medicaid and Medicare, and it will hurt Long Island hospitals. It will leave tens of thousands of people in NY District-1 uninsured. We respectfully ask that you save our healthcare by voting against Trumpcare or your constituents, we the undersigned, will vote you out of office.
Why is this important?
We believe that a government should care for the safety and well-being of its citizens. The logic behind Trumpcare is the opposite of that. As you know, it will kill public healthcare in America, and that means goodbye to almost universally loved programs such as Medicare and Medicaid. There may be funders that back the ideology that Trumpcare embraces, but no one who votes for this bill will survive long in office. So consider this your warning, by all of us, the undersigned...
