Wolfkill, The poll numbers show that the people of Iowa are ready to get rid of an antiquated law based on lies and misconceptions. A law that turns hardworking, taxpaying Iowans, who are only trying to do whats best for their children, into criminals. Its time for change!
Why is this important?
My son began showing signs of bipolar disorder at the age of 4. His mania produced violent rage in him. By the time he was 12, the depression had him begging for me to let him die. My walls had holes in them, picture frames were busted, his bedroom ceiling was covered in knife holes. Not to mention the beatings his father and friends endured. When he was 15, I noticed a big change in his behavior (for the better). When I asked him why, he confessed he had been smoking pot for awhile. That was all the proof I needed. Since then we have tried many other meds for his anxiety and rage, to no avail. Marijuana was the only medicine that made it better without turning him into a Zombie.
