For the good of the country and to establish closer ties between the leaders and the governed, the legislative salaries will be based on the minimum wage. No legislative salary should exceed 200% of the minimum wage
Why is this important?
Our elected representatives pass legislation that is supposed to reflect the needs and the good of the people. Instead, they continue to listen only to the moneyed. If their salaries were based on the minimum wage, they would have closer ties to the needs of those they speak for.
