To: Governor Fortuno of Puerto Rico, President Donald Trump, The Connecticut State House, The Connecticut State Senate, Governor Ned Lamont, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate

Let Puerto Rico be an independent nation.

Let Puerto Rico have the freedoms that the 13 colonies obtained in 1776

Why is this important?

The decolonization of Puerto Rico should be carried out according to the United Nation's Resolution 1514(XV) of the General Assembly of 1960. Such resolution is considered the Magna Charta of decolonization. Independence is an inalienable right. Further all Puerto Rican political prisoners should be freed.

Reasons for signing

  • Puerto Rico has been held as a war prize from the Spanish American War, and is the only large population in the Western Hemisphere not to have ever enjoyed true freedom. Allow the Puerto Rican people to self-govern and enjoy full autonomy which is their God given right
  • I want indepence
  • Boriken has every right to govern itself; in the year 2016 there is no need for commonwealths anymore - that is part of an old ruling system that needs to die.
