LET US SEE

The time for the American public to witness what goes on behind closed doors is needed now more than ever. What this petition looks to resolve is the opaque dealings of the Fiscal Cliff negotiations. I truly believe that our government can set aside their partisan ideology for the sake of our great nation. Whether liberal or conservative, all Americans can agree that what comes from these closed door negotiations effects all of us as one, so why not let the American public see what is really going on. I have been thinking very hard at why these sessions of elected officials should remain out of the view of the public which they serve, and I have no real reason. I do however see many reasons why these sessions should remain closed from public view, and these reasons are surly not in the interest of the American public. It is time for us to see where our elected officials truly stand on these issues and I see no better alternative than making them completely open to all of us.

With your help in signing this petition, we look for President Obama, House Speaker Boehner, and everyone involved to invite members of the public along with live, unedited coverage from CSPAN into their closed door negotiations. I do not wish this petition to set rules for these negotiations but only to open all dealings concerning these negotiations to the public. So please help your government become more accountable to it's citizens by signing this petition and passing it on to friends and family.
