To: President Donald Trump
Let's do more to stop global warming!
It's late. Almost too late. But not quite. There's still time, if we act now...
Ever since I was a child, I've been reading dire warnings by scientists about global warming and climate change. I kept figuring that the government or industry giants were going to step in and do something. Now, I've finally realized that only ALOT of people like you and me, raising our voices together, are going to be able to compel our government to make the kind of sizeable change we need to turn this man-made mess around. Let's call on President Obama to do everything in his power to reduce carbon emissions to a sustainable level, as rapidly as possible. One way to do this is to place a serious carbon tax on both industry and individuals that will drastically reduce carbon emissions in the US. Let's also call on him to initiate an infusion of government money into renewable energy R&D, plus production and use incentives. Let's encourage exploration of innovative ideas such as massive solar panel "fields" in our desert areas -- ideas that are already being explored in Europe and Israel.

Why is this important?
Reduce carbon emissions to a sustainable level, as rapidly as possible by use of a carbon tax as well as an infusion of government spending on renewable energy projects.
