In 1968, minimum wage was around $ 1.50. an hour Adjusted for inflation, that comes to about a little over 10 dollars. Let's restore some of the purchasing power of the people. Make the minimum wage 10 bucks an hour
Why is this important?
Real wages have declined for the past 30 years....and this affects almost everybody. Even if you don't earn minimum wage, your paycheck is in fact influenced by it. This apply for people that make less than $70,000.00, which is the majority of the people...Let's at least go back to 1968.
