The Republican Convention was full of hate, fear mongering, and accusations. It misrepresented the true state of our nation and lacked any kind of substantive policy initiatives as to how to tackle the issues that are important to most Americans.
While it might be tempting for the Democrats to take a turn hurling insults, please sign this petition to urge the speakers at the DNC to rise above the crass and ugly rhetoric spouted by the Republicans and fight this battle through intelligent, thoughtful, and even humorous offerings. Urge Hilary Clinton and her fellow Democrats to show strength by articulating the convictions of their base with with passion and humility; to reveal the lies of the Republicans dispassionately and to rise above the banal behavior of the Republican speakers that was meant to inspire fear and rage in a population that is already on the edge.
