Congress wants to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits? Well who's responsible for overspending, and shouldn't they bear a lot of the burden of cuts? We taxpayers contribute funds, but Congress decides how to spend funds. So for every 1% in taxpayer benefits cuts let's see Congress take a 10% cut in salaries, a 10% cut in benefits, a 10% cut in office budgets and staffing. This might make them more careful legislators in the future!
