Why is this important?
I have been a US Senate candidate as a Democrat and know that trying to unseat a fake progressive is an almost impossible task because of Party politics. This country needs a viable, pleasantly aggressive progressive to run for U.S. President. We have potential choices. Senator Sanders is an Independent but caucuses with Democrats and is about as left as they get for the most part. Governor O'Malley is a reasonably left, progressive choice as well. This petition is about changing the conversation from the media and Party picking our candidates and telling us to pick the 'shoe-in', vs we the people picking who runs the White House in the next 4 years.
