Let's put an end to bullying together.
Suicide is the third leading cause of death in teens. Bullying is the most common factor in this. We need to make the change. We as students are the ones who can control this, so let's do it.
Why is this important?
Since I've started high school, there have been three suicides. The most recent one just days ago. All of these have been caused by bullying. Our school says that bullying is bad but they haven't taken any action to help end it. If we had a bullying hotline, we could help others so much. A lot of us see bullying everyday and do nothing about it because we're so scared of being bullied. Most of us have personally been bullied. It's a scary thing to go through and it needs to stop. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for teens. With a bullying hotline, that many other schools use, people who are bullied can call or even text a number and would get help. People who see bullying can do the same. This way, there is less fear. The sad thing is, is that the school was offered this program and rejected it.
