I am not suggesting outlawing guns, but it's time for a rational discussion on how to decrease gun violence. If people kill people and not guns, then let's start empathy programs and let's build more community ties. Access to guns is also too easy. Let's start talking!
Why is this important?
I go to concerts and malls and wonder if something might happen. I worry about my nieces and nephews going to movies and classes.
I don't want more guns in more peoples' hands to stop shooters; that's more craziness. I want to teach people better coping skills and more empathy.
And its not just those with psychological issues. Easy access to guns makes shooting someone too easy instead of talking it out or walking away.
