As a gay American I am concerned about
LGBT community rights and the fair and equal treatment of us and our constitutional right to be married in American.
Why is this important?
People should be concerned because equal rights is an issue that affects all of us as Americans. It affects me because my partner and I have been together for 33 years and just recently has the right to be married been granted to us in New York state but I think that we should be recognized as a married couple and have the same federal rights in every state in the Union.
