Corporate and private funding of political campaigns will be illegal. Every candidate who seeks nomination to public office must receive a critical number of signatures and will receive campaign funds from our government's campaign funds exclusively and each candidate will receive equal airtime, funds and access to public debate. No personal or corporate donations will be allowed.
Why is this important?
If we are to have a true democracy, that is representative of the voice of the people, then we must change how political campaigns are financed. We must eliminate the possibility that our President and legislature can be bought.
