(This petition is for the public, in every state to sign and can be
put in more legalese language)
We, the undersigned, want an independent commission set
up in our state to limit the amount of money that every candidate
for public office can use to run for office. In addition, we want
all campaigns, local, state and national, to be limited to a period
no longer than one year. We also want an independent govern-
ment commission to limit the amount that Presidential/Vice
Presidential campaigns can spend to run for office, with a
slight increase every 4 years, to account for inflation, and
subject most candidates to public financing only.
Why is this important?
My petition is for people to agree to limit the amount of money
that every candidate for public office can use to run for office
and limit the campaign time to one year, at most. People
should sign this because money has corrupted the system
and because of the recent Citizens United Supreme Corps
decision, it is only getting more corrupt! We must get the
money out!
