When the president has been implicated in a scandal such that he might be inclined to use his war powers to create a distraction from developing domestic affairs, his war powers shall be significantly curtailed.
Why is this important?
I am concerned that the American public will be easily deceived by a "wag the dog" military engagement and I am concerned that such a conflict could escalate and cause greater unrest or violence in the world, directly affecting those involved of course, but indirectly affecting the rest of us economically and the US's standing and goodwill.
