Gateway Pacific Terminal (GPT) backers, at Cherry Point, want only a "narrow" review of the EIS, Environmental Impact Statement.
But ALL public agencies that are charged with the environmental review of Gateway Terminal, and WE The People, must ALL add our collective voices (potential votes) to move the Environmental Impact Study (EIS) beyond the Gateway site, in order to include/introduce impacts such as ship and rail traffic in each affected area, plus the larger picture.....global warming, health threats to the land and sea, all of the creatures that live in those areas, as well as our own human health...these additional scientific facts should ALL be the focus of a comprehensive EIS !
Why is this important?
WE the People have the potential power to ask for a more comprehensive EIS review, but we have to act (again) NOW! Because Coal Backers are becoming successful with moving along their "narrow" EIS.
