LIMITING THE FILIBUSTER RULE
Put a limit on how often the filibuster may be employed by a particular party and lower the cloture vote to a simple majority.
Why is this important?
The filibuster has been abused by overuse in recent years. It is both an indication and a tool for political division, gridlock and paralysis. Two aspects need correction: 1)the frequency of use needs to be limited and 2)the bar on cloture votes needs to be lowered from the 60 vote level.
