This is a letter to Jeff Bezos, CEO and President of Amazon asking Mr. Bezos to utilize his financial power to bring down the fires in the rainforest. He has been a philanthropist in his life. This is the time to support bringing down the environmental temperatures, and consider the future for our children.

As founder, CEO, and president of Amazon, Inc., you have become one of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, businessmen, and philanthropists.
Undoubtedly, you are often asked to give financial support to remedy problems that face both our nation and the world at large. Right now, you have a live or die opportunity to lead the fight, to live up to your company’s name, and save the Amazon. Governments in that area view deforestation as a financial boon, and by ignoring its negative long-term effects, they are destroying the world’s most important barrier against global warming.
As the head of Amazon, and with substantial resources at your disposal, you can supply extraordinary aid to the region and, in effect, have your business live up to its name in heroic fashion. In your much-quoted tweet from two years ago, you wrote that you wanted your philanthropic activity to help people “at the intersection of urgent need and lasting impact.” This is the time.
You have four children. They and all the beloved children around the world face the risk that our climate will be impacted so severely that their generation may not survive.
Respectfully, we ask, pray, beg you to understand the urgency of this day. The time to save the earth is now!
