Lottery in Alabama

We live in a state where history was made. People died for freedom and choices. We have a chance to make our state more prosperous than ever before just by making history one more time. If we allowed the lottery in state we would reach the same lofty revenue as Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and any other state that benefits. No more cries of not having money to keep or pay employees their worth, fund hospitals, get new buses and reliable transportation service service (such as a light rail system) fix roads and make our cities and states beautiful across the board instead of just in some cities. We as people understand there is a time to start small. If we can at least have lottery we may not even need electronic gambling (even though if we can get a bus to another state to play we should be able to here). We need our leaders to consider how much money is being lost that could pay for education and create jobs. Projects could be done without raising taxes and asking for loans. Jefferson County could function on it's own as well as the cities in Alabama. We vote to make a difference. Please let our voices be heard with respect as we love our state just as much as you and we want it to grow. As it stands it doesn't look like it will unless change comes.

Why is this important?

There are those of us who feel it is time to move forward. Time for a change in the way we think and take care of our state.
