Any lie told by a president or representative of the people of the United States in a public forum and/or especially on the floor of Congress that can be proven to be a lie, and further can be proven to be known by the speaker who uttered it as a lie before the statement was issued, affecting the welfare of the people or the future of the country, the speaker should be censored. Repeat offenders would be automatically thrust into the impeachment process.
Why is this important?
Calling climate change a "hoax" is an obvious lie told with the purpose to deceive the American people. This purposeful lie, told to protect the monetary interests of the very few, could cost the country trillions (lost lives, lost crops, lost real estate, loss of all forests, loss of water resources, etc.). Such outrageous claims should be proven or the speaker censored.
