Magruder Park Safety–Hyattsville, MD

We, the undersigned, ask the City of Hyattsville to take steps to express the concerns of residents to Douglas Development, the owner of the former WSSC parking lot on Hamilton Street next to Magruder Park, regarding the use of the parking lot by driving schools and others for driver training purposes. Since one vehicle has gone through the fence and struck the tennis court and another has caused damage along the fence line adjacent to the playground, we believe that this activity must stop as this is a serious safety concern for the children playing as well as a liability risk for the owner.
