Only recently have I realized that I have been purchasing Halal approved products. I don't want to purchase products that are "Halal approved" and believe it should be my right as an American to know which products have been processed in a "Halal" method. I want "Halal approved" items to have it declared on the front of every product in letters that are at least 1/2 inch tall in red print.
Why is this important?
I was unaware of the practices of Halal approved food processing and believe the methods of animal slaughter is barbaric and unnecessary cruel torture. I also am not Islamic and do not want Islamic declarations or processes performed on products that I purchase. This should be a right of all Americans to know if they are purchasing Halal approved products.
