Enough is Enough! We the people demand that all banks, private mortgage companies and any other mortgage holders must participate in programs already in place on the State or Federal level, i.e., Hope for Homeowners, HardestHitFund, etc. and any independant program administered by idividual companies to allow people to stay in their homes. Currently, all programs to help are VOLUNTARY. Even if the homeowner has had an existing modification, and is still facing hardship, the aforementioned companies should be mandated to participate in any current or future program designed to help people stay in their homes.
Why is this important?
Banks received big bailouts with the implied idea that they must give consumers relief. Private mortgage companies may not have received a bailout, but with the economy still not rebounding fast enough people are still losing their homes at an alarming rate. Unfortuantely neither of them are required to work with homeowners facing hardships and or foreclosure. Please sign the petition to help people stay in their homes, enough is enough!
