I am directing our local, state, and federal governments to make climate change a top priority by developing a specific legislative plan to combat this devastating event.
Why is this important?
Scientists have proven that climate change is occurring quickly mainly due to human activity. According to some experts, we have only about 12 years before this change is irreversible.
I am a senior citizen with no children, so I will probably not be alive to see the truly catastrophic effects of our current policies. However, I have witness the majesty of the Earth and its life forms. I don't want our planet to become uninhabitable to the living things that bring such beauty and meaning to our lives.
