With the exception of military, police and licensed security personnel, the carrying of a concealed weapon in the state of Maine shall result in a mandatory one year jail sentence and a $10,000 fine.
Why is this important?
No one, other than law enforcement and the military needs to carry a concealed weapon. If you have a legitimate need to carry a weapon there is no reason to hide it.
