Doctors should waive patient co-pays when they do not take you at your appointment time. If us (the patient) have to pay a late fee, so the doctors should waive the co-pay. Patients time is just as important as the doctors time.
Why is this important?
I recently had a doctor's appointment for which I had to take my lunch break at work to attend. I was the only person in the waiting room when I got there at 1:25pm for my 1:30pm. After being there for 15 minutes and not being seen I was ready to leave as I was on my lunch break. Incidents like this have happened on more than on occasion and it is very frustrating.
