Dear state representatives and senators, I urge you to prioritize education in the state of Georgia. Top educators are leaving the state because wages are not competitive. Higher education generates revenue for Georgia. Please reward the revenue generators and avoid brain drain by authorizing raises for teachers in Georgia.
Why is this important?
I am an associate professor at Clayton State University who has not received a raise from the state since 2008.
