On Tuesday night President Obama said "We need to fix this" referring to the long lines of people waiting to vote on Election Day. Make Election Day a federal Holiday as a first step in this direction.
Why is this important?
On Tuesday America watched as long lines of people waited a very long time to vote. Some people were not able to vote because they could not take the time off from work to do so. Making Election Day a federal holiday would alleviate some of the issues we faced on Election Day.
