Make Medical Cannabis Accessible to Suffering Illinois Patients
As your constituent, I am asking you to support policy decisions that allow patients access to medical cannabis. Now 36-states, including the District of Columbia, have laws allowing patients access to various forms of cannabis and Illinois is one of the most restrictive in terms of the number of debilitating conditions approved for treatment. This means that an overwhelming majority of patients suffering from diabetes, nerve damage, PTSD, anxiety, migraines, anorexia and other serious illnesses do not qualify for treatment--even though studies prove cannabis offers an improved quality of life.
In regards to the approved medical conditions, there are barriers preventing eligible patients from treatment. I am asking you to have compassion for suffering patients and vote in favor of sensible laws that allow patients the opportunity to benefit from medical cannabis and expand the list of approved conditions for treatment.

Why is this important?
Illinois patients are suffering because of narrow guidelines that limit eligibility to use medical cannabis as a viable treatment option. It's time for patients to finally have access to this proven and effective, life-changing treatment.
