To: The Michigan State House, The Michigan State Senate, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer

Make Michigan's electoral college votes for president be proportional to the popular vote.

Request that the Michigan Governor and State Legislature take all steps in their power to support changing the Michigan constitution so that Michigan's electoral votes for president will be cast in the closest proportion to the popular vote.

Why is this important?

Currently, all of Michigan's electoral college votes for president are given to one candidate, no matter how slim the margin of popular votes by which that candidate won in Michigan. This in effect ignores the votes of all those who voted for the other candidate, and actually changes their votes to the candidate they did not vote for.
