Marion County Florida schools need metal detectors and increased security presence. We need to make the incident that took place at Forest High School on April 20, 2018 the last of it's kind.
Why is this important?
On April 20, 2018 a child was shot sustaining non- critical injuries at Forest High School on the same day there was said to be a fire arm on the campus of West Port High where my daughter attends school, whether there was or wasn't a firearm remains unconfirmed. Metal detectors and increased security would have prevented both of these issues. Children are scared to go to school and parents are equally scared to send them. Our children's safety must be a priority.
