Make Spirt Week Great Agin!!
Spirt week used to be a fun week every year when students can dress up, express themselves, and show their creativity. It brings people of all grades and backgrounds together to have fun and show school spirt.
This year our ability to express ourselves has been unfairly altered. Many female students are being “dress coded” on a week dress code was formerly overlooked. Every year the upperclassmen have been wearing Nike shorts; shorts that are allowed in most sports teams at Ridge Point. This ability to wear shorts was taken from us this year and many girls are being dress coded unfairly. For example, one girl gets dress coded wearing the same shorts as 3 girls in her class. How is this ok? Why can the sports teams wear these shorts but not girls on spirt week? It’s one week every year we are free from the weight of dress code to be COMFORTABLE at school, GOD FORBID.

Why is this important?
Give us the freedom of comfort back! And from all of the girls at Ridgepoint, please stop this is neither fun nor fresh!
