Only 25% of the child support due custodial parents is fully paid each year. And we wonder why more children are living in poverty, need free lunches and are a drain on our local and national treasury? Make them pay the child support they owe and save a generation.
Why is this important?
My son is 29 and his father still owes $67,000.00 in back child support. I've had a child support order in affect since 1987. Because his father lives in another state it has been very difficult to collect. This is a moral as well as legal obligation and the federal government and states have not worked hard enough to enforce the laws.
