Make Towson University Accessible for All Students
Towson University must prioritize the needs of students with disabilities by making critical updates to campus infrastructure and healthcare resources. This includes adding more ramps, improving elevator functionality, and establishing a golf cart-based transportation system for students with mobility challenges. Additionally, increasing funding for Accessibility and Disability Services (ADS) will ensure students receive equitable access to resources. Raising awareness among the general student body and collaborating with key university leaders will help create a campus environment where every student can thrive.
Why is this important?
This campaign matters because every Towson student deserves to feel included and supported, regardless of their abilities. Right now, students with disabilities face unnecessary challenges that make it harder for them to succeed and enjoy their college experience. Whether it’s a lack of ramps, unreliable elevators, or limited transportation, these barriers create an unequal environment. Accessibility isn’t optional—it’s something everyone should have.
Making these changes shows that Towson values all its students and is willing to take the steps needed to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive.
This campaign isn’t just about making campus more accessible—it’s about doing the right thing. By joining, you’re helping to create a more inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. When we make things better for those who face the most challenges, it improves our entire community.
Supporting this campaign is your chance to stand up for your classmates and make real change happen. It’s about making sure Towson is a place we can all be proud of—a place where no one is left out or left behind. Together, we can make this happen.
