1) 100 mixed hours, hands on community service in neighborhood where they will work, examples:(church,goodwill,Recreation Centers, highschools,attend neighborhood watch meetings,mental health facilities ,sit in on drug classes).
2) 100 hours classroom work "alternative to choosing gun" ( psychology in diffusing all situations without lethal force, )
3) 25 hours range shooting for non deadly shooting in "stopping threat without shooting to kill"
4) 50 hours big brother program with child of opposite race.
Why is this important?
Policing all over the country is getting away from the real purpose why we have a police force. Police need to get back on track with policing and treating everyone with the same respect that they would expect, even when provoked. If police are given a chance to be hands on in the community with the people they will be policing, I think they can and will better serve/protect without the use of a gun, or violence. Make them spend time in the churches, spend time in the drug centers, learn how people with mental health issues act, learn how to cope with them.
