Mandatory Publicizing Of Corporate Political Donations

A corporation using their funds to donate to political candidates should have to disclose in a physical letter, labelled "urgent business," to each share holder that they are making these contributions, and state it and the amount on each customer's bill. If the corporation feels that it is appropriate to spend money to promote a candidate, they must find it appropriate to inform the stockholders of this decision so that the stockholders may comment, or take action to change it. Likewise customers need to be informed of the corporation's political activities so that they may make an informed choice of which carrier to do business with, and perhaps change carriers.
This would have the effect of making corporations much more circumspect about how they handle their responsibilities to their share holders and customers, and likely diminish this kind of anti-democratic activity.
This would not require a Constitutional Amendment, which, requiring 3/4 of the states to sign off on it, is nearly impossible to achieve. This would only require a bill to pass Congress and the President's signature. This is a much more likely method to discourage corporations from trying to buy candidates.

Why is this important?

I am a customer of a wireless phone company that I found out donates large amounts of money to candidates whom I oppose, so I am changing carriers. Nevertheless I do not appreciate them using my business with them in this manner. I believe that corporations making contributions under the umbrealla of Citizens United should have to be very transparent about it - that they should have mandatory requirements to publicize it.
