Why is this important?
This is important because our elected politicians chose to sue us rather than fix the Ventura River. They had 21 years to fix it. They chose to pay millions of dollars of our taxpayer money to Walnut Creek lawyers to sue us. The City paid a non-profit 850k as an interim settlement and the tried to cover it up w a fancy Press Release. We need accountability and transparency. We should not be sued by our own government.
